The WWOOF Program
Black Moon Farms participates in the World Wide Opportunity on Organic Farms - USA program. This program allows members to stay on an organic farm and, in exchange for room and board, perform work for the farm. We welcomed several dozen Woofers to the farm in the past year. Members can find our farm on the WWOOF web site and contact us if you would like to visit.
Some Woofers help in making cider from the abundant apples on the farm.
Black Moon Farms is a certified organic producer of blueberries and cranberries. The farm (originally called The Berry Patch) was certified organic for a number of years until the previous owner let the certification lapse. With the new ownership in place in November of 2014 the farm requested re-certificatioin. This was completed effective 2/12/15 under the name of Bandon Black Moon Farms.
